Objectiv
Understanding our personal values as designers enables us to approach our work with authenticity. When our design decisions align with our beliefs, we can create meaningful and impactful solutions. Moreover, being aware of our values empowers us to use our skills to advocate for social change, fulfill our creative vision, and contribute positively to society.
Approach
To honor my mom, continue my passion for baking, and serve those around me, I decided to create my own cupcake company. Mae Mae's Cupcakes is a personal branding project that allowed me to build something deeply connected to my identity. Guided by the brand’s core values—community, authenticity, warmth, and service—I brought this vision to life.
Outcome
Through this project, I further developed my design skills by creating a cohesive brand identity, from logo design and packaging to marketing materials and social media presence. It challenged me to think strategically about color, typography, and visual storytelling, ensuring that every design element reflected the brand’s friendly and inviting personality.
