Working closely with a diverse range of professionals within the company has been an incredible experience. Throughout the summer, I had the opportunity to collaborate closely with the company's graphic designer on projects such as designing the Joint Employee Council Logo. Additionally, I took on various day-to-day tasks, including creating a flyer for the company nutritionist and redesigning the HR Newsletter. These experiences not only allowed me to apply my design skills in real-world scenarios but also provided me with invaluable insights into the inner workings of the company and the importance of effective communication through design.

Iterations

As an intern, I quickly realized the significance of iteration in the design process. Assigned with the task of creating a logo for Worthington Industries' event, I embarked on a journey of understanding the company's brand system and the essence of the event itself. Collaborating closely with my direct manager, the graphic designer, and the communications team, I immersed myself in comprehending the company's identity and the event's purpose. Through multiple iterations and constructive feedback sessions, I honed the logo to seamlessly align with Worthington Industries' brand guidelines while effectively encapsulating the essence of the event. This experience not only enhanced my design skills but also underscored the iterative nature of the design process, where each iteration serves as a stepping stone towards achieving the desired outcome.
